Picasso Children's Art Class Picasso's (Pre-Art)

Parents and children in this 45-minute class will do a variety to fun things! They may get to listen to a short story, then make a fun painting project to go with it. Or they may spend the whole class time creating - it all depends on the project! Each week we will spend our time working on both a sensory project as well as an art project you’ll be proud to hang on your fridge. Since this is geared toward young artists we’ll keep things simple, but super fun! We will be using all kinds of materials in this class to make art together from balloons to toy cars. We'll even use our fingers and toes to paint! They'll learn the basics of colors, while socializing with others their age. You just know your child (and you!) will enjoy this class!

This class is recommended for ages 2-5. However, parents are encouraged to place their child in whichever class they feel would be best for them. After all, you know your child best!

Please note that you'll be signing up for automatic enrollment, so you'll be automatically charged every month within 1-3 business days of when you register. Enrollment is ongoing, so this allows people to sign up throughout the month. However, there is no commitment - you may cancel at any time!

Come join us as we travel the world!

This year in Art Camp we will be studying art from Africa, Australia, Japan, and Mexico! In Africa, we'll be learning about color theory and make tribal necklaces or create our own tribal painting. In Australia we'll be learning about Aboriginal Art and using symbols and patterns. In Japan we'll learn about Japanese Fan Art and Sumi-e Painting (brush painting with ink). And in Mexico we'll complete Tin Art Mirrors and do art projects similar to the movie "Coco".

For our last day, we'll work on a final project that will combine elements of everything we've learned and invite parents to the last hour of class to show them everything their children have accomplished! They will also receive a certificate showing they graduated from Art Camp!

All materials and instruction is included in the price. There will also be light snacks each day. We will email you a form asking about allergies and other health information once your registration is complete.
