After graduating from Art I with basic knowledge of the Elements of Art, students in this 45-minute class will study the Principles of Art, such as movement, variety, and contrast. Every month will have a different focus to allow the students to fully grasp each concept, along with learning about an Artist that captures that element. These will be focused on the following principles: Movement/Pattern, Balance, Emphasis, Variety, Self-expression, Drawing from Life, Harmony, Contrast, Drawing from Memory, and Imagination
Students will be required to have a basic knowledge of not only the elements of art but how to apply them in their work. They must be somewhat familiar with famous artists taught in Art I classes. While students are learning art skills, they will also be given many opportunities to stretch their imagination! We will give them themes instead of specific assignments, prompting them to express themselves as well as build their art expertise.
*While it is not required the student to have attended our Art I classes, it is required that they understand the concepts we have taught. See below for a checklist to decide which art class is best for your child!
Please note that you'll be signing up for automatic enrollment, so you'll be automatically charged every month within 1-3 business days of when you register. Enrollment is ongoing, so this allows people to sign up throughout the month. However, there is no commitment - you may cancel at any time!
