During this 45-minute class, Art I Students will explore the elements of art, such as color, line, and value. They will study these elements throughout the year, along with learning about an artist that classically captures that element. Every month will have a different focus to allow the students to fully grasp each concept. These elements of art are: Color, Line, Shape, Value, Form, Texture, Space, Self-Expression, Drawing from Memory, and Imagination.
Students will be required to have the ability to focus on one or two activities for 45-minutes, listen and follow instructions/themes, and have the motor skills to use several different art materials. While students will learn art skills, they will be given many opportunities to stretch their imagination by responding to themes, prompting them to express themselves as well as build their art expertise.
Please note that you'll be signing up for automatic enrollment, so you will be automatically charged every month within 1-3 business days of when you register. Enrollment is ongoing, so this allows people to sign up throughout the month. However, there is no commitment - you may cancel at any time!
